DEVELOPMENT OF A WEB-BASED ELECTROMEDICAL EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE INFORMATION SYSTEM
Abstract
The maintenance of electromedical equipment is essential for ensuring patient safety, equipment reliability, and the continuity of healthcare services. However, maintenance management at Pasar Rebo Regional General Hospital is still largely conducted through manual recording and monitoring, resulting in inefficient data management, delayed maintenance activities, and limited traceability of maintenance records. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a web-based electromedical equipment maintenance information system that supports preventive maintenance scheduling based on Equipment Management (EM) scores, corrective maintenance reporting, maintenance history documentation, and centralized data management through online hosting. The system was developed using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with the Waterfall model, including requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. System performance was evaluated through Black Box Testing to verify functional requirements and the System Usability Scale (SUS) to assess user acceptance and usability. The evaluation results indicate that all system functions operated as intended and that the system achieved a satisfactory level of usability. The proposed system improves the efficiency, accuracy, accessibility, and transparency of electromedical equipment maintenance management, providing a practical digital solution for supporting maintenance activities in healthcare facilities.
